Job summary

HNTB in Charlotte, NC / Columbia, SC / North Charleston, SC seeks a Senior Traffic Engineer/Project Manager to lead safety analyses and DOT projects for Carolinas clients, including NCDOT safety assignments, corridor studies, and predictive safety analyses. You will mentor staff and drive project scope, schedule, and budget.

You will collaborate with client service leaders to pursue strategic opportunities, deliver high-quality work, and maintain client satisfaction across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
• 8+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• 2 years of task management or Deputy PM experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop project scope, fee quotes, proposals, and contracts in line with HNTB policies.
• Act as primary client liaison and manage project teams to meet scope, schedule, and budget.
• Perform technical tasks including analysis, reports, design, and production for assigned projects.
• Lead project delivery plans and mentor team members to meet objectives.
• Coordinate staffing and development plans, including performance reviews.
