Job summary

ADP, Inc. in North Las Vegas, NV is seeking a Dispatcher to support NDOT-related operations and handle requests for the NHP and Freeway Service Patrol. The role requires efficient, clear communication, strong multitasking, and the ability to dispatch the nearest responders promptly.

The position involves working in a fast-paced environment, utilizing computer-aided dispatch systems, and maintaining driver status while ensuring timely motorist assistance.

Qualifications

• Experience in dispatch within Las Vegas, Reno, and Sparks.
• Knowledge of streets, cross-streets, highway exits and directions.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Receive and respond to calls from customers, Nevada Highway Patrol, FSP Drivers and co-workers via telephone and radio systems and computer-aided dispatch systems.
• Process and evaluate information received, dispatch required FSP by closest availability.
• Monitors and coordinates FSP driver activity and assignments via communication devices.
• Monitor the safety of all FSP Drivers.
• Maintains status and locations of all FSP drivers.
• Utilizes technology such as computers, radio systems, telephones, fax machines and other communication equipment.
• Answer all phone calls in a courteous, friendly, assistive, professional and timely manner (calls must be answered in 3 rings or less).
• Answers questions from customers or individuals. If you are unable to assist the customer with the right answer request their name and number, call your lead or supervisor so they can assist them;
