Job summary

Fastenal in Jessup, PA is seeking a Part-Time Traffic Administration to monitor day-to-day Transportation operations at our distribution center. This entry-level role supports scheduling, data entry, and communications by phone and email.

Part-Time Shift(s):

MON TUE WED THU FRI 3:00 am-8:00 am

Up to 28 hours/week

OVERVIEW:

Working as Part-Time Traffic Administration, you will be responsible for monitoring the day-to-day operations of the Transportation department. This is an entry-level position based out of our distribution center located at 1225 Mid Valley Dr, Jessup, PA 18434. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Monitoring the effective and efficient daily operations of the Traffic department
• Communicating internally and externally by phone and email
• Maintaining files, documents, paperwork and data entry
• Managing budgets and performance metrics
• Complying with safety regulations
• Assisting with scheduling drivers and securing loads
• Assisting in maintaining files, documents, paperwork and data entry
• Assisting in managing budgets and performance metrics
• Operate a Fastenal vehicle and run truck routes, Non-CDL and/or CDL, as needed

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

• Possess a current full valid driver's license issued in the country where the job is located (including successful completion of any applicable graduated license program for your state or province) as well as the ability to meet our driving record requirements to use a company vehicle, as needed
• Proficient written and oral communication skills
• Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite
• Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
• Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule

• Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbs
• Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)

PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

• Possess or are currently in progress of obtaining a Commercial Driver's License
