Job summary

ARMY TRANSPORTATION seeks a Traffic Management Specialist reporting to the Chief, G37-Exercises, Readiness, Training, and Integration Division. You will plan, develop, and coordinate doctrinal reviews/updates related to transportation management for exercises and readiness.

You will apply the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) and Joint Planning Process (JPP) to execute exercises from start to finish, developing scenarios to train audiences and manage MSELs to test responses in simulated events.

About the Position:

Serves as a Traffic Management Specialist reporting to the Chief, G37-Exercises, Readiness, Training, and Integration Division. Incumbent performs a variety of duties in support of exercises and readiness such as planning, developing and coordinating doctrinal reviews/updates related to transportation management.

Specialized Experience:

One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which includes

1. Assisting with an organizations transportation exercise readiness program
2. Analyzing after-action reports to address readiness deficiencies
3. Operating a transport or traffic system where there is accountability for the programs operating costs
4. Applying the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) and Joint Planning Process (JPP) to execute exercises from start to finish
5. Developing exercise scenarios to exercise the training audience in real world scenarios and
6. Managing Master Scenario Event Lists (MSELs) to access responses to simulate real world events

Time in Grade Requirement:

Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
