Job summary

Gateway Guide Traffic Management Center in Chesterfield, MO is hiring a TMC Operator. You will monitor traffic using ITS tech, identify incidents, and coordinate responses to ensure safe, efficient roadways.

Position is full-time with 6:00 AM–2:30 PM or 2:00 PM–10:30 PM shifts, Tuesday–Saturday or Sunday–Thursday. Starting pay is $20.00/hour. A background check is required; IT fluency and local geography knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
• Proficiency with Windows-based systems and multi-monitor workstations.
• Ability to type quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Good knowledge of STL-area roadways and geography.
• Willingness to work holidays and weekends in a 24/7/365 operation.
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.

Responsibilities

• Operate ITS technologies to monitor traffic conditions.

As a TMC Operator, you’ll play a critical role in keeping Missouri’s roadways safe and efficient by monitoring traffic conditions, coordinating incident response, and delivering timely information to the public. **Position Summary** TMC Operators are responsible for using ITS technologies across a multi-monitor computer workstation to monitor roadway conditions, detect incidents, and coordinate with first responders.
