Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering program is required for engineering candidates.
• Must be enrolled full-time in a relevant bachelor’s or post-bachelor’s degree.
• At least 30 credit hours completed toward degree.
• GPA of 2.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.

Responsibilities

• Assist with permits preparation for utility work on MoDOT rights of way.
• Attend meetings with contractors and governmental entities to explain procedures.
• Review construction plans for drainage, sight distance, and related standards; coordinate permits.
• Review work zone requests and approve or restrict activity based on traffic impact.
• Conduct field inspections and measure traffic control devices to ensure standards.
