Job summary

Mead & Hunt is seeking a traffic technician to conduct field work across northern and eastern West Virginia, concentrating in District 5. This hourly position offers two Limited Term Employee openings with potential overtime pay beyond 40 hours.

Travel to sites statewide is required; a valid driver’s license and the ability to operate a company vehicle are essential. Ideal candidates read maps well and enjoy outdoor field data collection in varying weather.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of experience in a comparable work environment.
• Experience reading maps is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collect traffic data and travel behavior surveys using video, pneumatic tubes, and in-person visits.
• Travel to work sites throughout West Virginia; a valid driver’s license is required and capable of safely operating a company vehicle.
• Extended hours and flexible schedule including day and night shifts; overnight stays may be required.
