Job summary

Quality Counts LLC is hiring a part-time Field Operations Technician for Transportation Projects, based from Herndon, VA. You will travel across the DMV and neighboring states to install and retrieve traffic data collection equipment, performing outdoor, hands-on field work and coordinating with teammates as needed.

The role emphasizes independent field work, safety compliance, and timely completion of field tasks, with a mix of local travel and seasonal workload variations.

Qualifications

• Hands-on field experience in labor, construction, installation, or transportation.
• Comfortable working outdoors and on the road.
• Able to work with limited supervision and meet project timelines.
• Reliable commuting to Herndon, VA and flexibility with hours.

Responsibilities

• Drive across the DMV and neighboring states installing and retrieving traffic data collection equipment.
• Perform moderate physical labor, including installing video detection cameras and pneumatic road tubes.
• Work independently in the field while following project instructions, safety procedures, and deadlines.
• Occasionally join teammates for traffic surveys and parking studies.
• Travel locally and to projects in other parts of the country when needed.
