Job summary

Wooster & Associates is seeking a Director of Traffic Engineering to lead and grow our traffic engineering practice. This is a strategic leadership role combining practice ownership, business development, client and agency relationships, and organizational leadership, reporting directly to firm leadership and shaping the company’s long-term growth strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 12+ years of traffic engineering and transportation consulting experience with leadership experience at a practice/department level.
• Proven track record in developing and growing client relationships and revenue.
• Experience with traffic analysis software: Synchro, SimTraffic, SIDRA, HCS.

Responsibilities

• Own the strategic direction, growth targets, and P&L performance of the traffic engineering practice.
• Lead, mentor, and develop engineers, designers, PMs, and staff, including future leaders.
• Set and uphold technical standards, quality assurance, and a culture of accountability.
• Serve as the senior technical authority for traffic engineering on complex projects.
• Oversee Transportation Impact Studies and related traffic projects across the portfolio.
