Wooster & Associates seeks a Director of Traffic Engineering to lead and grow our practice. This strategic leadership role combines practice ownership, business development, client and agency relationships, and organizational leadership, reporting to firm leadership.

The position is ideal for a senior leader who balances strategy and client growth with technical excellence across project delivery, overseeing a multi-state portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Active PE license required.
• 12+ years in traffic engineering and transportation consulting with leadership experience.
• Proven business development success and client relationship building.
• Proficiency with Synchro, SimTraffic, SIDRA, and HCS.

Responsibilities

• Define strategic direction and growth targets for the traffic engineering practice.
• Lead and develop engineers, designers, PMs, and staff, scaling the group.
• Set technical standards and quality assurance across the practice.
• Provide senior technical oversight on complex projects.
• Maintain senior-level client and agency relationships across multiple states.
• Represent the firm in meetings, hearings, and industry discussions.
