Traffic Engineering Manager (PE Required, PTOE Preferred)

Wooster & Associates is seeking an experienced Traffic Engineering Manager to lead our growing traffic engineering practice. This position offers the opportunity to manage challenging transportation projects, mentor engineering staff, build client relationships, and contribute to the continued growth of the firm.

Responsibilities
  • Lead Transportation Impact Studies (TIS), Traffic Impact Assessments (TIA), traffic operations analyses, and roadway safety evaluations.
  • Coordinate with PennDOT, municipalities, developers, and regulatory agencies.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, staffing, quality control, and project delivery.
  • Mentor and supervise engineering staff while supporting their professional development.
  • Support proposal preparation, business development, and client relationship management.
  • Represent Wooster & Associates at public meetings, Planning Commission meetings, and agency coordination meetings.
Qualifications
  • B.S. in Civil Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • PTOE certification preferred.
  • 10+ years of traffic engineering experience.
  • Strong knowledge of PennDOT procedures, MUTCD, Highway Occupancy Permits, and traffic engineering software (Synchro, SIDRA, HCS).
  • Experience in other states a plus
  • Demonstrated project management, leadership, and communication skills.
