AtkinsRéalis seeks a Traffic/Transportation Civil Engineering Intern – Summer 2027 in our Raleigh, NC office. You will work with traffic engineers to collect, analyze, and present data for NC DOT projects.

The role includes field data collection, drafting technical reports, and developing simple data analysis scripts to support data-driven decisions. Qualifications include completing 60 hours toward a civil engineering degree (ABET-accredited) by Summer 2027; no prior experience is required.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills to enter data into spreadsheets or databases.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside traffic engineers to collect and analyze data for reports to NC Department of Transportation.
• Perform field data collection of traffic data.
• Assist with drafting technical reports and presentations based on data analysis for data-driven decisions.
• Develop code/scripts to analyze raw data for reports and graphics.
