Kimley-Horn’s Raleigh, NC office seeks a Civil Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with 2+ years of traffic engineering experience to join the Transportation/Traffic team. This on-site role involves hands-on project delivery, mentorship, and growth opportunities in a well-established practice.

Preferred candidates hold an ABET-accredited Civil Engineering degree and an EIT credential (or able to obtain within 12 months), with experience in Synchro and VISSIM.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of traffic engineering experience, including studies or related tasks.
• ABET-accredited Bachelor's or Master's in Civil Engineering required.
• Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Experience using Synchro, VISSIM, or other traffic analysis software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; detail-oriented and collaborative.

Responsibilities

• Perform traffic engineering and project management tasks for transportation projects.
• Help grow the practice and contribute to business development.
• Assist in managing projects to maintain profitability.
• Engage in hands-on project delivery and mentorship of staff
• Coordinate with team and clients to deliver results.
• Support plan production, project financials, and client interactions.
