Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. in Honolulu seeks a motivated Traffic Engineer (PE) to work on high-profile transportation projects. You will perform signal design, timing updates, and operational analyses while preparing construction documents and cost estimates for municipal and state roadways.

You will guide junior staff, apply design standards, and collaborate with clients and reviewing agencies to deliver safe, efficient transportation solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering required, PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Minimum of 5 years traffic engineering project experience.
• Experience with traffic operations and safety; highway capacity analysis; MUTCD; PS&E plans.

Responsibilities

• Design traffic signal systems, re-timing, and ITS/ATMS elements.
• Prepare construction documents and cost estimates for City, County and State roadway projects.
• Plan, schedule and coordinate technical aspects of projects.
• Train staff on design and operational analysis software.
