Job summary

Stantec is seeking a highly motivated Traffic Engineer-in-Training in Colorado to contribute to a wide range of transportation projects. The role involves signal timing, capacity analysis, safety studies, and ITS/ATMS implementations on city, county, and state roadway projects.

You will work under supervision to apply design standards, analyze traffic operations, and prepare technical reports while developing professional skills and pursuing EIT certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) minimum.
• EIT certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Preferably 2 years traffic engineering project experience.

Responsibilities

• Traffic signal system design and re-timing, operational analysis, and capacity studies.
• Traffic safety studies, signing and pavement marking, MOT compliance.
• Support preparation of construction documents and cost estimates.
• Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate technical aspects of projects.
