Job summary

GCW, Inc. is seeking a Traffic/Transportation Engineer in Reno, NV. You will perform traffic analyses, design studies, and support roadway projects across clients in public and private sectors.

Responsibilities include preparing reports, traffic models, signal design, and cost estimates, with supervision of interns and staff as needed. A BS in civil engineering and EIT certification are required, with 2+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Engineer-In-Training certification required.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience in traffic/transportation engineering.
• Must be able to read and comprehend detailed reports.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical studies, submittals, traffic design plans for public works and private developments.
• Prepare Preliminary Design Reports and traffic studies, models, and signal design.
• Perform traffic operations analysis using Synchro/SimTraffic, SIDRA, VISTRO, VISSIM.
• Design traffic signals, pedestrians, and roundabouts as needed.
• Prepare engineering calculations and cost estimates.
• Oversee project tasks and assist in proposal preparation.
