Job summary

GCW, Inc. is seeking a on-site Civil/Transportation Engineer in Reno, NV. The role focuses on designing roadways, intersections, drainage, and utilities under supervision, coordinating with Project Manager and CAD technicians.

Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Science in engineering and have at least three years of experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D. A valid driver’s license is required to operate company vehicles in project environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in appropriate engineering discipline preferred and at least three (3) years of experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D software is required.
• Must be proficient in Civil 3D and Microsoft Office tools.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Designs and prepares plans and calculations under supervision for specific engineering projects as directed.
• Assists CAD technicians to supervise ongoing project related work and teach new skills.
• Maintains organized files relating to designs, plans and projects progression for easy access by the Project Manager and team.
