Job summary

Paycom - ATS seeks a seasoned Civil Transportation Engineer to lead and assist in the development of traffic signal designs, ITS, and broadband fiber designs for NC DOT roadway projects and municipal streets. You will perform field investigations, inspections, and inventories, collaborate with clients and public agencies, and occasionally present at meetings.

A PE license in NC or the ability to obtain within six months is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE) or Civil Engineering Technology (BSCET) is required.
• PE license in NC or ability to obtain within six months from date of hire; registration in other states is favorable.
• Minimum of five years of progressive design experience in transportation projects.
• Experience with NCDOT & VDOT design is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of traffic engineering disciplines including TIA/capacity analysis and signal timing plans.
