Job summary

STV in Hartford, CT is seeking an experienced Traffic Engineer to join our transportation engineering team. Responsibilities include performing traffic engineering studies, signal design for CTDOT and municipalities, and coordination with DOT and local agencies.

The ideal candidate has a BSCE, 5–10 years of experience, a PE license, and proficiency with MicroStation, OpenRoads, AutoCAD, and VISSIM/Synchro. PTOE desirable. Strong communication and project delivery skills are essential.

Qualifications

• BSCE degree with a minimum of 5-10 years of experience.
• PE required; PTOE desirable.
• Proficiency with MicroStation, OpenRoads, AutoCAD, and AutoTurn is desirable.
• Thorough understanding of HCS, VISSIM, Synchro/SimTraffic software is desired.
• Experience related to traffic safety (vehicle, pedestrian, and bicycle), crash data analysis and development of crash countermeasures.
• Successful experience meeting scope, schedules, and budgets on transportation projects/studies.
• Good oral and written communication skills.

• Support the preparation of technical proposals and business development activities.

Compensation Range

$130,962.60 - $149,671.54
