Job summary

HDR, Inc. is seeking a Traffic Designer/EIT to support our Midwest practice with a focus on Missouri and Kansas. The role provides multimodal transportation analyses for projects ranging from small municipal tasks to large system interchanges.

You will contribute to detailed traffic design, MOT planning, and corridor studies. Preferred candidates have EIT registration progress, familiarity with Synchro/VISSIM, CAD MicroStation, GIS, and programming skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct multimodal transportation analyses for municipal to complex interchanges.
• Assist in traffic design tasks: signals, signing, lighting, and ITS elements.
• Maintain Traffic (MOT) planning and analysis.
• Support transportation planning efforts and corridor studies.
• Perform traffic engineering studies: speed, warrants, parking, access management, travel time, impact studies.
• Use datasets (HERE, INRIX) to support model-building and analysis.
• Contribute to proposal development for traffic-engineering pursuits.
