Job summary

LIVIC Civil is seeking a motivated candidate to fill a full-time Traffic Designer position in our growing traffic division. This role supports traffic and transportation engineering projects by performing plan production and design support tasks under engineers and senior staff.

Contributes to signing, pavement marking, traffic signal plans, MPT, intersection improvements, and HOP documentation, while applying agency standards and QA practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology or closely related field.
• 0-2 years of relevant traffic/transportation design, analysis support, or CADD experience.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or OpenRoads Designer (ORD).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce traffic-related plans and details (signing/pavement marking, signal, MPT, lighting as applicable) and incorporate redlines/comments.
• Support data collection needs (counts, field observations) and organize project documentation.
• Assist with HOP application exhibits and supporting materials (as needed).
• Support preparation of quantities/tabulations and plan sheet organization.
• Coordinate with project teams to meet milestone deadlines and deliverable requirements.
