Job summary

WSP USA seeks a Traffic Design Engineer in North Carolina for Charlotte or Raleigh with a hybrid schedule. The role centers on design plans using OpenRoad Designer, MicroStation GeoPak, or AutoCAD, with focus on traffic signals, ITS, lighting, and roadway systems.

You will collect data, analyze site conditions, develop innovative intersection and corridor improvements, and collaborate with engineers, planners, and clients while upholding QA/QC and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering.
• 1 to 3 years of post-education engineering and design experience.
• Engineer in Training certification or ability to acquire within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Develop design plans for transportation systems using ODR/GeoPak/AutoCAD.
• Analyze site conditions, traffic signals, and lighting to improve safety.
• Collaborate with engineers, planners, and clients on projects.
• Ensure conformance with regulations, permits, and QA/QC standards.
