Job summary

Morgan Truck Body, part of the J.B. Poindexter & Co. family, is seeking a Traffic Coordinator for the 1st shift at our Portland, OR plant. This role focuses on moving product smoothly, tracking movements, and supporting a safe, efficient manufacturing environment.

You’ll document chassis inspections, provide hands-on guidance, and flex across functions to keep operations on track while upholding our safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work overtime, Saturdays, and rotating shifts as business needs require.
• Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Actively participate in and support continuous improvement initiatives (PPS, Lean, Kaizen).

Responsibilities

• Movement tracking: accurately document product and material movements to support day-to-day operations.
• Chassis inspection: check in incoming chassis, verify measurements, perform visual inspections, and document findings.
• Team support: provide hands-on guidance and on-the-job training to help team members succeed.
• Safety first: follow company safety requirements and reinforce safe practices with team members.
• Operational flexibility: step in across functional areas as needed to keep work moving.
• Additional support: take on extra responsibilities to support department and operations.
