Job summary

Morgan Truck Body, part of the J.B. Poindexter & Co. family, is seeking a Production Skills Trainer on 1st shift to lead on-the-floor training for new team members and ongoing Lean, Safety and Quality initiatives.

You will support 5-S/Lean deployment, assist plant leadership to identify training needs, and help translate orientation/interview materials. Travel to other sites is expected up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or 1+ years of progressive work history with Morgan.
• Experience in the training of manufacturing processes and lean methods.
• Ability to learn and train on production systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct skills training for New Team Members in work centers.
• Conduct any other training as needed to support other departments.
• Assist team members with understanding work orders, blueprints, work instructions, etc.
• Train and Evaluate Team Members skills within the framework of the Skills Matrix.
• Collect training data, feedback or surveys of training processes and needs.
• Ensure team members’ understanding and use of Continuous Improvement, Safety and Quality Assurance processes and procedures.
• Assist with mandatory training initiatives
• Assist in Orientation (translation)
• Assist with interviews (translation)
• 25% travel to other sites
• Other duties as required.
