Position Compensation: $19.00 - $21.81 / hour
Location: Rapid City, South Dakota - KSLT

Position Summary:
The Traffic Coordinator is a part-time position that manages commercial scheduling, billing support, and traffic operations to ensure advertising campaigns are executed accurately and on time. This role works closely with Sales, Programming, and Accounting to maintain accurate records, fulfill client commitments, and support revenue-generating initiatives that advance the station's mission, financial health, and service to advertisers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Commercial Scheduling and Traffic Operations: Oversee the scheduling, placement, and reconciliation of commercial advertising to ensure accurate and timely broadcast delivery.
  • Maintain Traffic System Accuracy: Ensure the accuracy of sales orders, advertiser information, commercial instructions, and traffic records.
  • Coordinate Advertising Execution: Work closely with Sales and Programming teams to support the successful implementation of advertising campaigns.
  • Manage Billing and Accounts Receivable Support: Process advertiser billing and reconcile payments in coordination with accounting functions.
  • Ensure Compliance with Advertising Agreements: Monitor commercial schedules and materials to ensure campaigns run according to client agreements and station requirements.
  • Support Station Promotions and Special Events: Provide operational support for station promotions, special events, and other revenue-generating initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as requested or assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Maintain a growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ, reflect His character in all interactions, and faithfully uphold and embrace Northwestern’s mission, Doctrinal Statement and Declaration of Christian Community

Nice to Have:

  • Administrative, customer service, office support, or related experience
  • Experience with radio traffic software and broadcast operations

  • Technical Proficiency: Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office and related software. Ability to learn and operate specialized software systems.
  • Written & Verbal Communication: Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills.
  • Flexibility: Ability to maintain a flexible schedule, working occasional evenings and weekends for events as needed
  • Travel: Willingness and ability to travel occasionally for work-related purposes.
  • Background Check: Must pass initial and ongoing background checks as a condition of employment.
