Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems in York, PA is seeking a Traffic Control Supervisor to design, set up, and maintain temporary traffic control in work zones. You will supervise teams, monitor site safety, and ensure proper installation of traffic control devices.

Requirements include a valid driver’s license, ATSSA TCS training, and extensive field experience with DOT compliance. A $3,000 sign-on bonus is offered. Willingness to travel statewide and work nights/weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License required.
• Minimum 2+ years in traffic control with 4000 field hours.
• ATSSA TCS intermediate training completed.
• Background check and motor vehicle records required.
• Pass DOT drug test and meet DOT requirements.
• Wear safety gear (boots, helmet, glasses, vest).
• Ability to read plans and understand traffic control plans.
• Must travel statewide and be willing to overnight.
• Rotating on-call schedule required.
• Physical ability to lift up to 70 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operate company trucks to transport materials and equipment to job sites.
• Drive MOT vehicle to and from projects and work sites.
• Drive TMA vehicle to protect workers and zones.
• Place temporary construction signs in work areas.
• Position arrow boards or variable message boards.
• Set up traffic cones and other safety devices.
• Monitor the work zone to ensure items are in place.
• Load and unload traffic control items at shifts start/end.
• Install and remove delineators, signs, posts, and supports.
• Perform general shop maintenance on equipment.
• Follow safety rules to maintain a safe work environment.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
