Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems in Greenville, SC is seeking a Traffic Control Supervisor to design, set up, and maintain temporary traffic control in work zones. The role oversees teams, ensures compliance with DOT regulations, and coordinates equipment transport and setup.

Qualified candidates bring 2+ years in traffic control, a valid driver’s license, and ATSSA TCS intermediate training. Travel statewide and on-call rotation are required; benefits include medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience and 4,000 in-field hours in traffic control.
• Must successfully complete the ATSSA TCS intermediate training course.
• Must be able to pass a background check, including motor vehicle records check.
• Must successfully pass a drug test and meet federal DOT requirements.
• Wear proper safety equipment (boots, hard hat, safety glasses, vest) and read plans for traffic control.
• Able to lift and move up to 70 pounds.
• Willing to travel statewide, with possible overnight stays, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Operate company trucks to transport materials to job sites.
• Drive MOT vehicle to and from projects.
• Drive TMA vehicle to and from projects to protect workers.
• Set up and place traffic signs and cones in work areas.
• Monitor the work zone and ensure items remain in place.
• Load and unload traffic control items at shift start/end.
• Follow safety rules and company procedures.
