Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems is seeking a Traffic Control Supervisor II to oversee and execute traffic control operations on state highways and local roadways. The role leads crews, ensures safety, mentors staff, and manages job documentation while transporting equipment to sites.

The position requires a high school diploma, a clean CDL-like driving record, 3–4 years of traffic control experience, and ATSSA certification, with advanced ATSSA training expected. Overnight travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean motor vehicle record.
• 3–4 years (6,000+ hours) of traffic control experience.
• ATSSA Traffic Control Supervisor certification required.
• Must complete the ATSSA Traffic Control Supervisor advanced training course.
• Proven experience setting up traffic control operations on state/local roadways.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to transport materials and equipment to and from job sites.
• Lead daily traffic control crews, including Traffic Control Technicians and Flaggers.
• Ensure strict compliance with safety protocols and PPE requirements.
• Deliver daily toolbox talks and safety training to crew members.
• Mentor and train new hires in traffic control and safety procedures.
• Complete timesheets, work tickets, and job documentation daily.
• Set up, monitor, and remove traffic control devices and safety equipment.
• Travel to various job sites as required, including overnight stays.
