Job summary

The Car Park is seeking trained traffic control aides to monitor intersections and manage pedestrian and vehicle flow in North Carolina. The role supports event traffic plans, set up of signs and barricades, and coordination with drivers and pedestrians to ensure safety.

• Ability to direct traffic and communicate clearly with pedestrians and drivers.

Responsibilities

• Patrols assigned area and directs vehicle and pedestrian traffic at intersections or locations.
• Deploys traffic equipment such as signs, cones, barricades.
• Directs traffic for events and other times when traffic control is needed.
• Sets up barricades and cones along active roadways.
• Removes signs, barricades, and cones after work is completed.
• Provides direction using verbal cues and hand signals.
• Protects people and property from hazards by identifying and removing risks.

This position also deploys traffic equipment such as signs, cones, barricades, and other equipment.
