Job summary

AWP Safety in the United States is seeking a Protector to work with a crew at various job sites. No experience or degree is required, as training and ongoing support are provided.

Safety comes first, and you will be equipped with PPE and guidance to build a career. Daily tasks include setting up cones, signs, and barricades, guiding traffic with a stop/slow paddle, and keeping vehicles and equipment clean and safe.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and ability to stand/walk outdoors for long periods.
• Able to lift 40-50 pounds and work in traffic and changing weather.
• Flexible schedule; punctuality for every shift and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Setting up cones, signs, and barricades and taking traffic control equipment down
• Using a stop/slow paddle to guide traffic, watching traffic and job site activity
• Following all safety rules taught in training
• Communicating with your crew and supervisor
• Helping keep vehicles and equipment clean and safe
• Working outside all year, in all weather
• Shifts may change based on job needs: Some nights, weekends, or emergency work may be required
• You may stand or walk8 to 12 hours per shift
