Job summary

AWP Safety in the United States is seeking a Protector to work with a team at job sites. No experience or degree is required; safety comes first—training is provided, and the company supports you as you build a career.

You’ll set up cones, signs, and barricades, direct traffic with a stop/slow paddle, and monitor site activity in all weather. Flexible shifts and training offered, with opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Valid driver\'s license required.
• Able to stand, walk, and work outdoors for long periods.
• Able to lift 40–50 pounds.
• Flexible schedule; shifts may include nights/weekends.
• Must pass pre-hire drug screen due to safety sensitivity.
• Safety-focused and follow all site rules.
• Respect coworkers, clients, and public at all times.

Responsibilities

• Set up cones, signs, and barricades at job sites.
• Use a stop/slow paddle to guide traffic.
• Follow safety training and site rules.
• Communicate with crew and supervisor.
• Keep vehicles and equipment clean and safe.
• Work outside year-round in all weather conditions.
• Stand or walk 8 to 12 hours per shift.

Your daily work includes:

• Setting up cones, signs, and barricadesand taking traffic control equipment down
• Using a stop/slow paddle to guide traffic, watching traffic and job site activity
• Following all safety rules taught in training
• Communicating with your crew and supervisor
• Helping keep vehicles and equipment clean and safe
• Working outside all year, in all weather
• Shifts may change based on job needs:Some nights, weekends, or emergency work may berequired
• You may stand or walk8 to 12 hours per shift
• We give you a hard hat, safety goggles, a safety vest, safety whistle, walkie talkie, and cold/hot weather gear: you bring your own steel toe safetyboots that go above the ankle.

Additional Information

Pay:

• Pay:$19.50–$20.25 per hour
• Pay increasesin your first year
