Job summary

Helix Traffic Solutions, LLC is seeking candidates for on-site traffic control roles in Indiana. You will install and maintain traffic control devices, read plans, and ensure safety during roadway projects in Bloomington. Training may be provided for certification, and a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Traffic Control Technician or Traffic Control Supervisor training is preferred; training may be provided during employment.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain traffic control devices on or adjacent to job sites.
• Set and maintain traffic control throughout project duration, ensuring devices remain in proper location and working condition.
• Install prefabricated directional and informational signs by hoisting into place and fastening to frameworks.
• Read and work from plans to accurately locate, drive posts, and position signs.
• Perform related signing work, including delineators, pavement striping, striping removal, reflective pavement markers, lane closures, and detours.
• Service, maintain, and repair equipment and traffic control devices as needed.
