Helix Traffic Solutions, LLC is seeking a Traffic Control Apprentice to join our Baton Rouge team. We provide safety‑focused work in traffic control and work zone safety, with opportunities to learn, grow, and advance within a national organization that supports a local team.

The role requires physical stamina, reliability, and a strong safety mindset. Responsibilities include following supervisor directions, performing manual tasks, and contributing to safe, efficient work zones in various

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 80 lbs and perform repetitive physical tasks.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time (8+/- hours).
• Must be able to sit for extended periods of time (8+/- hours).
• Must be able to arrive on time for scheduled shifts.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be able to work nights and/or weekends as requested.
• Must be able to travel out of town as needed (infrequently), provided ample notice (48 hours) is given.
• Must have fine motor skills and hand dexterity (i.e., tightening nuts and bolts, using hand tools, filling out paperwork).
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and subsequent random drug screenings.
• Must exhibit good judgment in the field including safe work practices around live traffic and adhere to the company policies and procedures at all times.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Must have the ability to operate motorized hand tools and equipment required.
• Must have the ability to accurately use rulers and calculate measurements.
• Must have a cooperative, team player attitude.
• Must be able to follow other duties as assigned by management or trainers.
