Job summary

Helix Traffic Solutions, LLC is hiring a Traffic Control Technician to support traffic management and work zone safety efforts. The role involves on-site duties, coordinating with crews, and ensuring safe flow of traffic in dynamic environments.

Applicants should demonstrate physical stamina, reliability, and a commitment to safety. The position may involve nights, weekends, and occasional travel as needed, with opportunities for growth within a national company with local team roots.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 80 lbs and perform repetitive physical tasks.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time (8+/- hours).
• Must be able to sit for extended periods of time (8+/- hours).
• Must be able to arrive on time for scheduled shifts.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be able to work nights and/or weekends as requested.
• Must be able to travel out of town as needed (infrequently), provided ample notice (48 hours) is given.
• Must have fine motor skills and hand dexterity (i.e., tightening nuts and bolts, using hand tools, filling out paperwork).
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and subsequent random drug screenings.
• Must be capable of following specific directions from supervisor.
• Interested in improving industry knowledge.
• Must exhibit good judgment in the field including safe work practices around live traffic and adhere to the company policies and procedures at all times.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Must have the ability to operate motorized hand tools and equipment required.
• Must have the ability to accurately use rulers and calculate measurements.
• Must have a cooperative, team player attitude.
• Must be able to follow other duties as assigned by management or trainers.
