The core responsibilities of this role include: coordinating and scheduling inbound and outbound TL, LTL, and SP freight traffic, including deliveries and pick-ups.

Position Details:

• Position: Traffic Clerk
• Shift: 1st Shift (Mon - Fri 9am - 5pm)
• Pay: $20.00/hour

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Experience coordinating and scheduling inbound and outbound TL, LTL, and SP freight traffic.
• High levels of customer service and effective communication with clients and transportation providers.
• Experience with freight documentation such as Bills of Lading (BOL).
• Experience using a warehouse management system (WMS) like Blue Yonder, Red Prairie, JDA, SAP, etc.
• Dispatch or Transportation Management System (TMS) experience is preferred.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, and working outdoors.

Role Purpose:

Responsible for scheduling truck deliveries and pickups, coordinating with customer service, client representatives, and drivers to ensure high service levels, and ensuring all shipping and receiving documents are completed accurately and timely.

Key Responsibilities:

• Schedule inbound and outbound freight in accordance with warehouse operations.
• Meet or exceed service and efficiency standards.
• Ensure accuracy of shipping and receiving documents.
• Handle customer interactions at the dispatch window.
• Maintain records related to shipping and receiving activities.
• Assist in training new staff and maintaining facility security.
• Maintain accurate dock door control records.
• Promote safety and report unsafe conditions.
• Keep work areas clean and organized.
• Provide polite and service-oriented customer interactions.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of relevant experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
