Job summary

Cetera Financial Group seeks an experienced Trading Specialist -- RIA to execute and manage ETF, mutual fund, and fixed income trades. You will work with the Investment Manager to implement strategies that align with client risk objectives.

This hybrid role requires being near one of our offices, with 2-3 days in the office in the Dallas, TX area. A Series 65 license and strong trading platform proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, or related field.
• Proven trader experience in a financial institution.
• Deep knowledge of financial markets, instruments, and asset classes.
• Strong analytical, data-driven decision-making.
• Proficient with trading software and platforms.
• Excellent risk management and decision-making abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of risk management principles and compliance regulations.
• Series 65 license.

Responsibilities

• Place trades and manage cash for distributions.
• Review accounts weekly for tax harvesting, rebalancing and cash replenishment.
• Use trading platforms to execute orders efficiently.
• Manage and optimize trading portfolios within risk/compliance guidelines.
• Stay informed on industry trends, regulations, and market developments.
• Act quickly in response to market changes or portfolio updates.
• Collaborate with Investment Manager to improve processes/systems.
• Communicate trade activity with wealth managers and client service teams.
