Job summary

Wellington Management Company, LLP in Boston seeks a Trading Research & Analytics professional to harness data and improve execution results for our clients. The TRA team works closely with traders, portfolio managers, and external data vendors to deliver insights that inform decisions.

You will produce detailed research on trading activity, maintain analytics data platforms and dashboards, and own longer-term projects that automate processes and enhance tools.

Qualifications

• Experience using Python, SQL, Tableau to analyze large datasets and generate insights.
• Familiarity with and interest in financial markets, trading, and investment processes.
• Demonstrated initiative and ownership, with a willingness to identify opportunities and drive improvements.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed research reports for Traders and Trading Desk on activity, execution quality, liquidity and costs.
• Collaborate with traders, PMs, and relationship managers to answer client questions via data analysis.
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, anomalies, validate methodologies, and support business decisions.
• Maintain and enhance trading analytics data platforms, data lake, reporting workflows and dashboards.
• Own longer-term projects to enhance tools, automate manual processes, or lead research initiatives.
