Job summary

Wellington Management is seeking a Quantitative Trading Analyst to join their Trading Research & Analytics team. The role focuses on empirical research, transaction cost analysis, and systematic trading support across fixed income markets.

The ideal candidate will have strong Python and SQL skills, experience in analytics and data-driven inference, and the ability to communicate complex results to traders, PMs, and technologists.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; master’s or PhD considered favorably.
  • 5–7 years of relevant experience in quantitative trading research, execution analytics, TCA, or similar.
  • Hands-on experience supporting institutional fixed income trading across IG Credit, HY Credit, EM Debt, Securitized Credit, or Agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct empirical research on trading behavior, market microstructure, liquidity, and execution performance across global fixed income markets.
  • Design and enhance fixed income TCA framework including pre- and post-trade cost models and best execution reporting.
  • Build research and analytical tools to support systematic trading workflows and improve outcomes.
  • Own analytical trading data representation and produce production-quality research infrastructure.
