Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Trader Assistant in Prime brokerage services operations in New York.

You will support trading teams with trade capture, workflow execution, issue resolution, and daily controls, while developing a deep understanding of trading structures and operational flows. You will collaborate across teams to drive timely, well-controlled outcomes, design improvements, and support governance routines.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting trade operations in a trading environment.
• Knowledge of prime brokerage activities including securities lending and collateral.
• Ability to partner with trading and operations teams to deliver timely results.
• Experience identifying and documenting process improvements with measurable results.
• Understanding of settlements, asset servicing, and operational reporting.
• Familiarity with control functions and infrastructure partners and their impact.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with clarity and constructiveness.
• Attention to detail and ownership with consistent issue follow-through.
• Ability to perform in a dynamic, multi-priority setting.
• Analytical and numerical problem-solving skills; proficient in data handling.
• Proficiency in Excel for data handling and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Support trade booking and lifecycle processing with prioritization and follow-through.
• Coordinate with trading and operations to resolve breaks, inquiries, and escalations.
• Perform daily controls and checks with proper documentation and sign-off.
• Monitor workflows to identify issues, root causes, and recurring themes.
• Design and implement process improvements with documented results.
• Communicate with cross-functional partners to align on priorities and outcomes.
• Contribute to strategic initiatives to improve processes and supporting architecture.
• Maintain strong relationships across technology, product, quantitative, and operations.
• Participate in governance routines to promote sustained performance.
• Build knowledge of products, trade structures, and end-to-end requirements.
