Job summary

OCR Alpha is seeking a Trade Assistant to sit with the front office trading desk, offering direct exposure to trading strategies, markets and execution. This role involves close interaction with Portfolio Managers, Traders and Operations.

You will monitor trade capture and ensure positions are accurately reflected, support settlement, futures roll activity, and other lifecycle events, while working with Technology to automate processes.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting a trading desk within a buy-side firm or an investment bank.
• Strong understanding of the trade lifecycle across listed and OTC products.
• Proactive approach with a genuine interest in process improvement, automation and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Monitor trade capture to ensure positions are accurately reflected across internal systems.
• Partner with Operations to facilitate timely settlement.
• Provide day-to-day trade support to the investment team and support futures roll activity and other key trading lifecycle events.
• Collaborate with Technology teams to enhance and automate trading processes.
