Job summary

United National Maintenance seeks a Service Worker for Baltimore, MD to support tradeshow/events cleaning as needed. Responsibilities include cleaning floors, restrooms, windows, and surfaces, with potential use of heavy equipment. Ability to work independently or with a partner and to lift up to 50 pounds is required.

There are no set schedules; assignments arise as events occur in the city area. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Clean floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
  • Gather and empty trash.
  • Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
  • Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using cleaners and squeegees.
  • Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.
  • Mix water and chemicals to prepare cleaning solutions.
  • Steam-clean or shampoo carpets and extract.
  • Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors.
  • Operate powered cleaning equipment.

Perform cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, sanitizing bathrooms, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish. Duties may include performing routine maintenance activities, notifying management of needed repairs.

Specific Responsibilities
  • Clean floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.
  • Gather and empty trash.
  • Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
  • Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
  • Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment. .
  • Mix water and chemicals in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
  • Steam-clean or shampoo and extract carpets.
  • Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors.
  • Drive or operate powered equipment including ride on scrubbers or industrial ride on vacuum cleaners.
  • Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.

Qualifications
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. - We E-Verify
  • Must be able perform repetitive motion for extensive amount of time
  • Must be able to walk long distances
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to work independently or with a partner
  • Capable of lifting, bending, stooping, pushing & pulling heavy loads
  • Must be able to lift and/or carry thirty (30) to fifty (50) pounds
