Job summary

Westgate River Ranch Resort & Rodeo is seeking a Trades I – HVAC Technician to support resort operations with HVAC maintenance and preventive tasks. You will work on split systems, PTACs, air handlers, and condensers, while assisting with engineering projects to keep guest areas comfortable and safe.

The role emphasizes professionalism, safety, and teamwork within a premier Florida resort environment. Prior HVAC exposure in hospitality is preferred and training will be provided as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year hands-on HVAC/maintenance experience in resort/hospitality.
• Technical training or HVAC certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform HVAC maintenance and preventive maintenance as directed by engineering leadership.
• Complete daily HVAC work orders and support other trades as needed.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, specifications, and O&M documents.
• Safely operate hand and power tools; report safety hazards as required.

Job Description

As a Trades I – HVAC Technician, you will support resort operations by performing HVAC maintenance, preventive maintenance, work orders, and assisting with engineering projects throughout the resort. This role is ideal for someone with foundational HVAC experience who is looking to grow their technical skills while helping maintain a safe, comfortable, and guest‑ready environment.

What You'll Do as a Trades I – HVAC Technician:

• Perform engineering projects, guest calls, blitzes, and preventive maintenance as directed by resort leadership.
• Complete daily HVAC work orders while supporting other Engineering trades as needed.
• Perform preventive maintenance on split systems, PTAC units, air handlers, and condensers to ensure proper system performance.
• Assist with the installation and replacement of HVAC components, including condensers, thermostats, fan motors, and other minor system components.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, equipment specifications, and operating & maintenance (O&M) documentation.
• Assist with procurement and inventory activities to ensure materials, parts, and tools are available for scheduled work.
• Utilize HotSOS and other maintenance management systems to document work orders and completed repairs.
• Communicate professionally with guests, Team Members, and leadership while providing excellent customer service.
• Perform general maintenance and cleaning tasks as assigned to support resort operations.
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, lifts, scaffolding, and appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Identify and report potential safety hazards while following all company safety procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support Engineering operations.

Qualifications

What You Will Bring as a Trades I – HVAC Technician:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 1 year of hands‑on experience in HVAC, engineering, maintenance, or skilled trades within a resort, hotel, commercial, or similar environment.
• Technical training or HVAC certification preferred.
