Job summary

Nucor Corporation, including its DJJ division, is seeking energetic Traders to sit at the center of the raw material supply chain—buying scrap and alloys and brokering them to customers. After an 8–10 week paid training, you’ll be placed in a district office and brokerage based on business needs and your strengths.

You must be willing to relocate anywhere we do business post training, strictly based on business need.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business or related field required.
Experience in sales, trading, or customer service is a plus.
100% open to relocation to any DJJ district office.

Responsibilities

Buy and sell ferrous, nonferrous metals and ferroalloys to support Nucor's raw material strategy.
Prospect and develop new supplier and mill relationships.
Manage contracts, payment terms, and supply chain logistics with customers.
Travel to supplier and customer sites (30–60% of the time).

The Opportunity

As a Trader, you'll sit at the center of Nucor's raw material supply chain — buying scrap and alloys from suppliers worldwide, then brokering those raw materials to customers. You'll build a real book of business, trade commodities, and develop lasting supplier and customer relationships. After an 8–10 week paid training program, you'll be placed in one of our district offices and a brokerage based on our business needs and your strengths. You MUST be willing to relocate anywhere we do business post training - strictly based on business need, no preferences. (See states/locations above)

What You'll Do

Buy and sell ferrous, nonferrous metals and or ferroalloys to drive Nucor's raw material advantage (Depending on assigned brokerage)
Prospect and develop new supplier and mill relationships
Manage contracts, payment terms, and supply chain logistics with customers
Collaborate daily with logistics teams, Nucor mill contacts, and open-market accounts
Travel to supplier and customer sites (30–60% of time)
Relocate to any district office at the close of training — and again as you advance
