Job summary

Andrews Kurth LLP, an international law firm, is recruiting an experienced paralegal for its Intellectual Property practice group. The Trademark Paralegal will coordinate all aspects of IP practice related to trademark matters under supervision of IP lawyers.

The role requires at least three years of paralegal or related experience, with a preference for prior trademark paralegal work. Strong MS Office skills and familiarity with legal databases are expected.

Qualifications

• Paralegal experience in trademarks or IP required.
• Paralegal certificate or equivalent preferred.
• Compliance with in-office policy required.

Responsibilities

• Generates revenue by meeting billable hour and timekeeping expectations.
• Prepares trademark filings with USPTO and coordinates with attorneys.
• Maintains docket for U.S. and foreign trademarks and deadlines.
• Prepares materials for attorneys for client meetings, including PowerPoint presentations.
• Stays current on Trademark Office Rules and filing procedures.
• Performs special projects as assigned.
