Job description

Our client, a top-ranked AM Law 100 firm, is seeking an experienced Trademark Paralegal to join its nationally recognized Intellectual Property & Technology (IP&T) Practice Group.

This position will support both local attorneys and the broader national team, reporting directly to the Practice Group Leader.

Salary range: $90,000 to $110,000 a year

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and file U.S. trademark documents with the USPTO, including applications, responses to Office Actions, renewals, and maintenance filings

• Conduct trademark screening and common law searches using third-party tools

• Manage routine client correspondence related to trademark prosecution and maintenance

• Assist with filings before the TTAB (Trademark Trial and Appeal Board) and WIPO

• Coordinate with foreign counsel for international filings and trademark portfolio maintenance

• Conduct trademark portfolio due diligence, including Customs and Border Protection registrations

• Support trademark enforcement efforts, including foreign oppositions and disputes

• Monitor attorney dockets and track important deadlines

• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior paralegal staff as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree required

• 4–10 years of experience in a law firm trademark department with a strong focus on prosecution

• Experience with copyright registration is a plus

• Excellent writing, editing, research, and analytical skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, legal document management systems, and timekeeping software

• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines

• Willingness to work overtime and occasional weekends as needed
