What do we need?

We are looking for a Trademark Paralegal to join our existing trademark practice. The ideal candidate will have 1-5 years of experience in IP or trademark searches, filing, and prosecution processes. Strong knowledge of trademark law, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously are essential. The Trademark Paralegal should be willing to work a hybrid schedule from the D.C. area.

How will you make an impact?

1. Providing legal assistance to assigned timekeepers in all areas of trademark prosecution, maintenance, enforcement, and litigation.
2. Developing and maintaining a current knowledge of U.S. and foreign rules and filing procedures, as well as SKGF firm procedures.
3. Managing assigned client trademark portfolios; monitoring and assisting with all aspects of U.S. and foreign trademark application prosecution, maintenance, enforcement, and litigation.
4. Preparing and sending correspondence regarding foreign trademark application prosecution and litigation to foreign counsel.
5. Ordering, reviewing, and researching trademark watch notices for clients' trademarks.
6. Preparing and submitting filings with the USPTO.
7. Preparing client status reports.

What will you bring to the role?

1. 1-5 years of Trademark or IP experience preferred.
2. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Paralegal certificate a plus but not required.
3. High attention to detail and an interest in detail-oriented work.
4. Excellent self-direction and self-management of workload, projects, and daily tasks.
5. Superior written and verbal communication skills.
6. Ability to work well in both independent and team-based environments.
7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word and Excel.

The good faith base salary range for this position is $50,000 to $85,000 per year. The actual salary offered will depend on factors such as experience, education, and overall qualifications.
