Fenwick & West LLP is seeking a Trademark Operations Manager to lead administrative and operational functions of the Trademark practice. This role oversees paralegals, transfers, and practice assistants, driving efficiency and consistent service delivery. Hybrid work from Fenwick offices nationwide is available.

The role requires deep expertise in U.S. and foreign trademark prosecution, strong leadership, and a minimum of six years in trademark ops with 3–4 years in leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of experience in trademark prosecution operations with 3–4 years in leadership.
• Experience leading and developing paralegal teams.
• Experience with trademark docketing and practice management systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and management of Trademark Paralegals, including performance management and workflow planning.
• Oversee billable targets and productivity metrics for Trademark Paralegals.
• Lead onboarding, training, and professional development for Trademark Paralegals.
• Directly manage the Trademark Transfer Specialist and oversee transfer-in/out processes.
• Oversee Trademark Practice Assistants and related administrative workflows.
• Develop and update paralegal procedures and workflow documentation.
• Foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture focused on accountability and improvement.
• Monitor workloads and reallocate resources to meet deadlines.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements for efficiency.
• Communicate changes and provide training on regulatory updates.
