Job summary

The Freeman Company is seeking a Graphic Designer to create visual assets for trade show exhibits and experiential marketing. The role requires independent project work from concept to client approval and adaptation of client brand assets for displays.

Based in Schaumburg, IL, this in-office position supports the team on 3D exhibits and environments. You will translate brand guidelines into cohesive visuals, develop original concepts when needed, and manage 3–5 concurrent projects under tight

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of graphic design experience in trade show, exhibit, or experiential marketing.
• Ability to work with client brand assets and generate original concepts.
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
• Understanding of large-format print production standards and file setup.
• Knowledge of Pantone matching and color management across substrates.
• Able to read CAD/architectural drawings or booth renderings.
• Portfolio showing exhibits, signage, or spatial design work.

Responsibilities

• Design graphics for booths, backdrops, banners, signage, kiosks, and large displays with minimal oversight.
• Adapt client logos, photography, brand assets for exhibit and event use.
• Develop new concepts within existing brand guidelines when assets are unavailable.
• Translate brand guidelines into cohesive visuals for physical spaces.
• Collaborate with exhibit designers, project managers, and accounts to meet client goals.
• Present concepts to clients and incorporate feedback to final approval.
• Scale assets for varied booth sizes and configurations.
• Manage 3–5 concurrent projects under tight deadlines.
• Prepare production-ready files and hand off to production team.
