Founded in 1996, United Therapeutics (Nasdaq: UTHR) aims to develop treatments for rare, deadly diseases like PAH, PH-ILD, and neuroblastoma. We are working to create manufactured organs to address the shortage of donor organs, with the goal of eliminating transplant waiting lists and curing end-stage organ diseases.

Who you are

You have extensive experience in Trade, Biotech, or Specialty Pharmacy, with skills in account management, contract negotiation, and data analytics. You thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and are eager to support our largest accounts while partnering with internal teams such as Market Access, GP, Sales & Marketing, and Patient Relations.

The Trade Relations Manager will foster relationships between UTC and Specialty Pharmacy Distribution entities, support U.S. SPS activities, liaise with Sales and Marketing, troubleshoot issues, and support training and development activities under the guidance of the Senior Director of Trade and Channel Management.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate access to UTC products through SPS and channel activities, analyzing procedures and working with vendors.
  • Lead and coach sales representatives on SPS and supply channel questions, manage related activities, and streamline processes.
  • Participate in quarterly business reviews with SPS and other meetings, monitor product programs, and communicate updates.
  • Maintain and analyze commercial product programs, perform ad hoc analyses, and report insights to leadership.
  • Analyze distributor data, monitor inventory trends, and approve purchase orders to ensure contractual compliance.
  • Assist in resolving issues affecting product pull-through and support the UTC Managed Care team.
  • Collaborate with UTC departments and SPS on educational items and program deployment.
  • Manage approval processes for SPS educational materials and facilitate meetings for program rollouts.
  • Support internal departments to ensure product programs meet contractual obligations.
  • Assist with SPS monitoring of adverse event reporting and support external vendors as needed.
  • Contribute to strategic decisions for the Trade team.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in Account Management, Sales, or Biotech
  • Ability to build strategic relationships with key stakeholders
  • Proficiency with PC or MAC and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to travel up to 30%
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with PAH
  • Exposure to SPS contracting
