Job summary

Dorman Products is seeking a Trade Operations Coordinator to support import/export compliance activities, broker communications, and trade documentation management. You will liaise with internal teams and Customs House Brokers to ensure timely clearances and accurate recordkeeping.

Responsibilities

• Assist with broker communications, invoice review, and issue resolution.
• Support import/export audits and SOPs; assist with project tracking and regulatory documentation.

Job Summary

The Trade Operations Coordinator is responsible for supporting the daily execution of import and export compliance activities, customs broker communications, and trade documentation management. This role serves as a key liaison between internal stakeholders and Customs House Brokers to facilitate timely customs clearances, maintain trade compliance records, and support efficient cross-border operations.

In this role, the Trade Operations Coordinator coordinates transactional trade compliance activities, supports classification and audit processes, manages trade-related documentation, and assists with broker communications and issue resolution. By supporting day-to-day operational activities and documentation requirements, the Trade Operations Coordinator enables the Trade Compliance team to focus on strategic compliance initiatives while supporting the organization's evolving business needs.

This role follows a hybrid work model requiring at least one day per week onsite in our corporate headquarters in suburban Philadelphia (Colmar, PA). Candidates must have flexibility to adjust their onsite day(s) based on business demands, meetings, and collaboration needs.

Primary Duties

• Serve as the primary point of contact for routine daily communications with Customs House Brokers.
• Support trade classification activities for an assigned portfolio of products, partnering with senior team members to maintain accurate U.S. and Canadian classifications, ECCN determinations, Schedule B reporting, and compliance with AD/CVD and SIMA requirements.
• Monitor broker requests and facilitate resolution of shipment-related issues.
• Maintain trade compliance records and supporting documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company record retention policies.
• Support import and export audits through document collection and audit preparation activities.
• Assist with broker invoice review, tracking, coding, and issue resolution.
• Maintain internal trade compliance procedures and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Support Canada trade operations activities and compliance-related requests.
• Assist with project tracking, reporting requests, and regulatory documentation requirements.
• Support trade compliance initiatives and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Experience with SAP, ACE, or Global Trade Management systems preferred.

Education / Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, International Business, or related field preferred.
• Equivalent experience may be substituted for formal education.
• 1+ years of experience in trade compliance, customs brokerage, logistics, transportation, supply chain, or related field preferred.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $22.26 to $30.14. This role is also eligible for a bonus. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will depend on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge and skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal pay equity. Compensation decisions are made based on the specific facts and circumstances of each role and candidate.
